ABOUT THE DIVISION: From the highly awarded Sashi series to the heartwarming Stubby and His Magic Boots, Brown Books boasts a strong legacy of titles that honor amazing animals. RADO’S Press is committed to building even more success stories to create more successful outcomes for pets in need. Our new imprint lets authors combine their professional and philanthropic goals, and our unique platform caters to both individuals and organizations ready to publish pet-related tales. To further our mission, we’re also fostering strategic collaborations and partnerships, as well as developing a board of like-minded animal lovers to help expand our initiatives.
AN INSPIRED IMPRINT: RADO’S Press was a lifelong business goal for Milli Brown. But unexpected praise from literary legend Richard Bach led her to launch the imprint in 2017. Bach, an American icon with more than 60 million books sold, is known for global bestsellers including Jonathan Livingston Seagull. However, he revealed more about his character than his famous characters with an impromptu email to Linda Greiner, creator of the Sashi series.
Expounding on the impact of her books in a heartfelt exchange, Bach proved to be a dog lover, a diverse reader, and an advocate for fellow authors. Not only did he grant Greiner his first public endorsement in over 30 years, he even offered thanks to Brown Books as her publisher! Inspired by Bach’s encouragement and obvious passion for helping four- and two-legged friends, Milli turned her “dream division” into a reality with RADO’S Press.
THE TOP DOG: Milli’s own rescue dog is the namesake and unofficial co-founder of RADO’S Press. His unique moniker is also the foundational acronym of our mission statement—Rescue Animals Deserve Our Support.
